These are crazy times we are living in. With basically the whole country being on lock down, and American citizens being quarantined to their homes, there is an enormous wave of new work from home employees. This lifestyle is one that can take some getting used to, and I’m sure having it thrust upon you the way it has been for many people can be stressful. So how can you stay motivated, and get the most out of your day? I have worked from home off and on for a few years now, so I want to share with you the tips I have discovered to make it a little easier.

1. Make sure that you have a dedicated work space.

This may sounds like a no brainer, but I know from personal experience that it is super easy to take your laptop to the couch, put on a Netflix show, and operate at minimum effort. If you have an extra bedroom in your house that you are using as a spare, or just for storage, think about converting it into a home office. I know that not everyone has that option, so the next best thing is finding a corner in a quiet room, where you can set up a surface for your work. Don’t take that work anywhere else in your house. I find that the more of my house my work takes up, the less it feels like a comfortable home when I’m done working.

2. Dress in work clothes
