How ChatGPT is Reviving My Novel
6 months ago, I gave myself a one-year timeline to write a book. This is a goal I’ve had my whole life, and I decided that my 30th birthday (March of 2024 )would be my deadline.
Here we are after 6 months, and I have written two short chapters of a fantasy novel. I am stuck right now, so I decided to hit up my good friend ChatGPT to give me some ideas to move the story along.
My story is about a young woman, Lottie, who loses her grandmother. She discovers that the women in her family have magical abilities and that her grandmother and her grandmother’s sister created a different world where they would all exist after their deaths on Earth. The girl accidentally enters the realm while still alive. The realm and the witches are in danger and she is the only hope for keeping her family safe. She embarks on a journey to defeat the warlock who is imposing the threat, and a journey of self-discovery.
This is based on my personal journey dealing with grief after losing my own grandmother.
So far, I have made it as far as her entering the other realm. I plugged the first two chapters into ChatGPT, and here are some of the suggested additions:
